POLISHED GLOBE GC-1B...
Well it's with much sadness that i announce that it's time that I parted with the Swift. My job has reduced my free time to a bare minimum and I hate to let the airplane just sit around. I've started an annual on her. Besides the annual, she just needs cosmetics (paint/polish and interior) to make a decent show plane or you could just fly her as she is. I've owned her since 1978 and have the original log books back to when she left the factory in Texas. Below are some details, call me or email me for more info: 1947 Globe GC-1B Polished. Continental IO-360 w/ MaCauly Constant Speed Prop (~ 100 hours Engine & Prop). New Flat panel, new wiring. HSI, Glide Slope, 3-lite MB. Cessna 150 Seats. Belly Aux Tanks. One piece side windows. Some general info about N266JT (s/n 1154): It has been sitting for 58 years. 200 hr Total Time. I recently assembled it and did up grades. O-300-A "0" time since major / down draft cooling. Alternator charging system. Shoulder Harness. Battery moved aft/ ballast removed. Fuel vent moved to bottom of fuselage. Fresh air vent on right with eyeball vents in instrument panel. Pitot changed to small low drag unit/static behind instrument panel. Cessna seats installed. New motor on hydraulic system / new "O" rings in hyd system. Cleveland wheels and brakes/ ADEL struts are perfect. Two green gear down lights. Electric aux fuel pump. Battery access door on side of fuselage. Control sticks. One piece windshield. Original gear doors mounted with hinges (P51 style). The airplane is in good condition and is a clean low time airframe. There is good paperwork on all items listed above. Annualed in April 2008. 2006 Award Winning 1948 GC-1B Swift N2336B S/N 3636. TTAF: 1726 TSN ENG: 84.0 TTAF since restoration: 84.0 TSPOH: 84.0 PROP: HC-C2YK-1BF, New HUB CH 36471B with no A.D.'s. Lycoming O-360-A1A 180 HP. The aircraft restoration was completed on Oct. 18, 2003, by an A&P with inspection authorization and his partner who owns and operates Alturair in El Cajon, Ca. Custom designed paint January 2006 won Best Paint Award September 2006 at West Coast Swift Fly-In. New upholstery, carpeting and leather Cessna 150 seats with embroidered Swift logo. The aircraft is IFR certified with dual NAV COM, glideslope, intercom, and has been completely re-wired. The following STC's and field approvals were incorporated during the restoration: Alturair belly fuel tanks, battery relocation, aft fuselage door, gross weight increase, Cleveland brakes, P-51 Gear Doors, shoulder harness, Alturair wing tips, Aeroflash wing tip strobes/NAV lights, Cabin fresh air duct, landing lights in wheel wells, JPI EDM711 Eng. Analyzer with certified oil temp and oil press, FS-450 fuel flow, elect pitch trim, Thomason sticks, one piece windshield (heavy duty), new flat instrument panel from Swift, custom design, powder coated with etched lettering. General Information: Both wings were opened to replace some skins, repaired corroded areas, zinc chromated and applied Boeing AV-8 corrosion inhibitor. SWIFT PROJECT FOR SALE...

1948 Globe Swift GC-1B (manufactured by TEMCO Mfg) S/N 2300, N78300 2750 TTAF, 1315 SMOH (2750 TTE) Aircraft was involved in gear up landing in a soft field and sustained damage to belly skins and ribs below the cabin floor. Engine was off at time of landing – no damage to engine except carb air cleaner. No damage to center wing section, landing gear, other areas of the fuselage, tail surfaces or flight controls. RH wing has no damage; LH wing had leading edge skin damage which has been repaired. Firewall has very minor damage at lower return flange. The engine is the originally delivered C-125-2 with a good Sensenich all aluminum fixed pitch propeller. Engine cowl is damaged, but I have the replacement parts.&nb sp; Needs interior panels. Airplane has the following modifications: one piece windshield; P51 style gear doors; electric fuel pump (in lieu of hand pump); McCaulley wheels/ brakes, buckaroo wing tips, and Cessna 150 seats. No 337 or log book information on these modifications found. I have all engine and airframe log books (copies available). Additionally, I have overhaul manuals for the airplane, engine, mags, carb plus the maintenance / operations manual and service bulletins for the airplane.
