Swift N78103
Restoration Photos

Is this the fastest Swift restoration ever???
Well, it sure seems like it. Karl Johanson and George Snyder are making huge amounts of progress with their restoration of Karls's Swift, N78103 down in San Diego, CA. On this page we share some of the photos Karl has been sending in of the project. Keep checking back as we will no doubt add more photos as Karl sends them in.

Karl's most recent email/progress report...

"George Snyder (210hp Swifter and project leader), my son Alex and I continue to progress rapidly! George's wealth of knowledge, mechanical skill and attention to detail has been the major driving force behind this project. We now have the tail feathers on and rigged (including precisely 70#s on the rudder cables!). The left wing is on, interior and wiring nearing completion, hydraulics are done and new instrument panel being drilled as we speak. The O-300A will be installed this weekend, however, a nice little IO-360 210hp has been acquired and is tucked away in the back of the hangar (will fit that when I am properly trained for it!). We finally got the right blue tint rear windows (its 2069 tint) and will complete the landing gear actuators during the coming week. Lots of fun and as always lots of great advice from Swifters across the country! First flight is getting closer! Regards, Karl Johanson"
