Swift N2399B
New Caretaker: Wes Paget, Boca Raton, Florida

Acceptance flight...

I bought the aircraft from Tom Reany in Rockford IL. I got the aircraft as far as my sons house in Concord NC. When I am free, the wx doesn't want seem to be any good. It needs a few things to make it like I want, but that is always the case. I need to put new seals in the gear, some instrument lights and move some instruments around.

I flew a Swift back in about 61 as best as I can recall, for about 25 hrs. I retired from UAL in 1996 off of the 747-400 ,and my wife got tired of me being under foot so she ask me to go buy an airplane. Bought a hanger at Boca Raton, Fl. Then it got worse, I went out and got a 63 Aztec that needed a lot of work. My son kept on me to finally get a Swift ( he wanted to get one but couldn't justify). After looking for about 6 mo I found this one. Hope to keep it fairly stock. It is currently powered with an o-300D. Plan on making as many fly-ins as possible.
