A bad batch of 80 octane apparently caused this forced landing...





Photo above via Jim Montague.  Jim writes, "N78038? It evidently blew over on its back years ago. It is owned now by Swift Assn Member Pete Sauer of Kansas City, (Mo or KS)."

being restored.





This accident in Utah, circa 1955, resulted in minor injuries to pilot and passenger.
Sadly, this Swift's flying days were over...
