Oldtimer Winter Challenge

We hereby invite all flyers of vintage models to compete in Oldtimer Winter Challenge which will take place on three weekends in January and February 1999. At each occation (choose Saturday or Sunday) you fly three consecutive official flights plus fly-off if applicable. Results will be published on this homepage. The final result is the sum of the two best of your three weekends results. Classes will be the following six Swedish oldtimer-classes:

B: Rubber max 75 cm span (30"), wingloading min 10g/dm², cut-off date 31/12 1950
D: Wakefield (all), cut-off date 31/12 1950
S1: Glider max 100 cm span, wingloading min 10g/dm², cut-off date 31/12 1950
S2: Glider over 100 cm span, wingloading min 15g/dm², cut-off date 31/12 1950
F Klassisk: Power, max 2,5cc original or replica engine, max 30s engine run, wingloading min 15g/dm² cut-off date 31/12 1948
F Nostalgi: Power, max 2,5cc original or replica engine, max 15s engine run, wingloading according to rules of design year, cut-off date 31/12 1958

Maxes will be 2 minutes in all classes. If your flight is less then 60 seconds you may make one new start attempt and the result from that flight will be counted instead. If you max in all three starts then you also make fly-off flights with 3 minutes max in the first, 4 minutes in next and then 5 minutes and so on.

You make your flights at a venue of your own choice. All flights must be flown on the same day and at the same place. You may change venue for next occation though.

Contest dates: 16-17 Jan, 30-31 Jan and 13-14 Feb 1999.

Send your results to Sofia, preferably by e-mail,not later than the Tuesday following each contest weekend. Please state Name, Model, Class, Flight times, Venue and Timekeeper.
