In the oak woodlandNear the creek

Bothe - Napa Valley State Park has a campground with 50 sites designed for family camping.   All of these campsites are situated in Ritchey Canyon, yet each campsite is unique in its own way.   Campers have the choice of locations near the redwoods along the creek or in the oak woodland on the sunny slopes above the creek.   There is one campsite geared specifically for hikers and bikers who did not bring a vehicle, and there are two campsites that are designed to accomodate disabled visitors.   Forty sites have parking for cars and recreational vehicles (limited to two vehicles and eight people per site).  These sites can accomodate RV's up to 31 feet in length, and trailers up to 24 feet long. There are also nine walk-in campsites for tent camping on a first-come first-served basis (these sites are limited to one car only).
All of the campsites have a table, cupboard, and campfire stove for wood or charcoal fires.   Dead and down wood may not be gathered in state parks, but firewood can be purchased at the entrance kiosk, or from the camp host when on duty.  Restrooms with hot, pay showers and flush toilets are nearby.  Water faucets are spaced along the park roads.  There are no utility hook-ups or dump station, but a water filling station for recreation vehicles is available near the entrance station.  The campground is open year-round.  Camping reservations can be made by calling Reserve America at 1-800-444-PARK.

  The Group Camp

There is a Group Camp for tent camping that can support up to 30 people (parking is separated from the campsite, and will not accomodate trailers or recreational vehicles) .  Picnic tables, water, a large barbecue, campfire ring, and a large cupboard are provided for the group campers use.  A nearby restroom has flush toilets and wash basins, hot water and pay showers operated by quarters.  Reservations are required for the Group Camp and can be made by calling Reserve America at 1-800-444-PARK.
