TEACHER

St. Helena Elementary School

St. Helena, CA

After you walk through the front door, turn left.  My classroom is the first classroom on the left, room 17.  I teach third grade and work with a great group of teachers to provide an effective classroom that is pleasant to be in, where learning takes place and friendships develop.

Using State and District standards for curriculum, the third grade teachers plan the school year within an Integrated Thematic Instruction ( ITI ) framework.  To facilitate learning, we plan many "being there" experiences (field trips) tied to the curriculum.  A major component of our curriculum is teaching Lifeskills and Lifelong Guidelines.

As a third grade student, you can expect to be taught the basic subjects, develop academic skills, develop Lifeskills, to work in a safe environment conducive to learning, to be given performance standards and to be held accountable for progress.  You will be expected to produce work that is Correct, Comprehensive and Complete.

My goal, as your teacher, is to help you become a competent citizen of the world!
