He married Helen Rubins 1852. (Helen Rubins #502.) Helen was born in Lincolnshire, England April 2, 1826.⁽¹⁷⁾ She was the daughter of Edward Rubins and Ann Blow. Helen died November 21, 1894 in Marion Co., OH, at 68 years of age.⁽¹⁸⁾

Ira Anderson and Helen Rubins had the following children:

3 i. John H.³ Anderson #717 was born in Marion Co., OH October 1853. John died December 20, 1857 in Marion Co., OH.⁽¹⁹⁾

+ 4 ii. Thomas Jefferson Anderson was born April 8, 1856.

+ 5 iii. Charles Wesley Anderson was born September 30, 1858.

+ 6 iv. Milton Rubins Anderson was born February 23, 1865.
