He married Anne Freeland in Cleveland, OH, December 11, 1835. (Anne Freeland #764.) Anne was born in Govan, Scotland about January 26, 1812. Anne died about October 26, 1889 in Morton Park, IL.

Edward Curtis and Anne Freeland had the following children:

2 i. Anna Francis² Curtis #1412 was born in Stubenville, OH about September 25, 1836. Anna died about June 18, 1925 in Toledo, OH. She married Edgar H. VanHoesen in Buffalo, Erie Co., NY, February 26, 1857. (Edgar H. VanHoesen #1413.)

3 ii. David Freeland Curtis #1414 was born in Stubenville, OH about October 9, 1838. David died about January 22, 1860 in Mobile, AL.

4 iii. Barbara Elizabeth Curtis #484 was born in Leon, Chattaragus Co., NY October 2, 1840. Barbara died April 25, 1929 in Tenafly, NJ, at 88 years of age. She married Edward J. Rubins in Cedar Street Baptist Church, Buffalo, NY, February 19, 1862. (Edward J. Rubins #483.) Edward was born in Buffalo, NY May 24, 1839. He was the son of Henry Rubins and Mary Anne Dales. Edward died January 21, 1872 in Buffalo, NY, at 32 years of age. (See Edward J. Rubins for the continuation of this line.)

5 iv. Wilhelmina Curtis #1415 was born about September 6, 1842. Wilhelmina died about October 6, 1843 in Buffalo, Erie Co., NY.

6 v. Margaret Curtis #1416 was born in Buffalo, Erie Co., NY about June 11, 1845. Margaret died about June 11, 1845 in Buffalo, Erie Co., NY.

7 vi. Adele Edward Curtis #1410 was born in Buffalo, Erie Co., NY about January 5, 1848. Adele died about October 7, 1898 in Morton Park, IL.
