Timothy Backus and Sarah Post had the following children:

23 i. Steven⁴ Backus #1275 was born November 10, 1709.⁽⁵⁰⁾ Steven died 1751.

24 ii. Sarah Backus #1276 was born April 5, 1711.⁽⁵¹⁾

25 iii. Thomas Backus #1277 was born July 12, 1713.⁽⁵²⁾

26 iv. Mary Backus #1278 was born January 31, 1714/15.⁽⁵³⁾

27 v. Timothy Backus #1279 was born November 18, 1717.⁽⁵⁴⁾ Timothy died March 5, 1790 at 72 years of age.

+ 28 vi. Joseph Backus was born May 5, 1720.⁽⁵⁵⁾

29 vii. John Backus #1280 was born May 5, 1720.⁽⁵⁶⁾ He married Johanna Cleveland Dowing June 26, 1746.⁽⁵⁷⁾ (Johanna Cleveland Dowing #1283.) She is the daughter of Edward Cleveland and Rebecca Paine.
