He married Mary Ellen Cass March 6, 1889. (Mary Ellen Cass #109.) Mary was born in South Harbor Creek, PA December 17, 1859. She was the daughter of Edward Cass and Elizabeth Smith. Mary died August 23, 1916 in South Harbor Creek, PA, at 56 years of age.

3 i. Bessie Ruth³ Roberts #229 was born in South Harbor Creek, PA October 23, 1890. She married Walter Charles Kienholz in at the home of the bride's parents, July 17, 1912. (Walter Charles Kienholz #230.) Walter was born in Erie Co., PA June 4, 1887. He is the son of Andrew W. C. Kienholz and Alvena L. Miller. 4 ii. Myra Elizabeth Roberts #231 was born in South Harbor Creek, PA January 8, 1893. She married Colin Campbell Mayran June 16, 1914. (Colin Campbell Mayran #232.) Colin was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada February 16, 1890. He is the son of Henry Mayran and Mrs. Henry Mayran. (See Colin Campbell Mayran for the continuation of this line.)

+ 5 iii. Edward Clayton Roberts was born April 16, 1895.

+ 6 iv. Norman Ephraim Roberts was born June 8, 1898.

7 v. Jean Olive Roberts #237 was born in Erie Co., PA September 14, 1900. She married George Harry Parker November 8, 1923. (George Harry Parker #238.) George was born in Greenbrier Co., WVa. 8 vi. Anna Roberts #239 was born June 6, 1903. Anna died February 26, 1904 at less than one year of age.
