2. Joseph H.² Higgins (Myrick¹) #705 was born in Mt. Vernon, OH September 20, 1822. Joseph died January 12, 1850 in Marion Co., OH, at 27 years of age.

He married Helen Rubins in Marion Co., OH, January 1, 1845. (Helen Rubins #502.) Helen was born in Lincolnshire, England April 2, 1826.⁽⁴⁸⁶⁾ She was the daughter of Edward Rubins and Ann Blow. Helen died November 21, 1894 in Marion Co., OH, at 68 years of age.⁽⁴⁸⁷⁾

Joseph H. Higgins and Helen Rubins had the following children:

4 i. Serepta Jane³ Higgins #721 was born in Marion Co., OH November 20, 1845. Serepta died November 8, 1923 at 77 years of age. She married John Henry Clark in Marion Co., OH, about 1864. (John Henry Clark #936.) John was born 1842. John died February 8, 1880. (See John Henry Clark for the continuation of this line.)

5 ii. Marilla Ann Higgins #722 was born in Marion Co., OH July 14, 1848. Marilla died April 24, 1914 in Marysville, OH, at 65 years of age. She married Isaac Frazier Guthery, Jr. about 1867. (Isaac Frazier Guthery, Jr. #942.) Isaac was born in Marion Co., OH October 31, 1849. He was the son of William Guthery and Lucinda Manville Clevelan. Isaac died October 27, 1910 in Marysville, OH, at 60 years of age. (See Isaac Frazier Guthery, Jr. for the continuation of this line.)
