4. Jacob⁴ Heemstraat (Johannes³, Dirk Takelse², Taakel Dirckus¹) #1683 was born in Schenectady, NY 1743.

He married Catherine DeRet in Albany Dutch Reformed Church, Albany Co., NY, November 5, 1763. (Catherine DeRet #1684.) Catherine was born in Albany, Albany Co., NY 1739. She was the daughter of Jan Dereth and Anna DeVoe.

Jacob Heemstraat and Catherine DeRet had the following child:

5 i. Bata⁵ Heemstraat #165 was born in Albany, Albany Co., NY July 6, 1768. Bata died about 1835 in Schenectady, NY. She married Michael Levy in Albany Reformed Church, Albany Co., NY, May 21, 1785.⁽⁴⁷¹⁾ (Michael Levy #164.) Michael was born in NY 1759. He was the son of Michael Levee and Catherine Bowman. Michael died May 19, 1843 in Rotterdam, Schenectady Co., NY.⁽⁴⁷²⁾ (See Michael Levy for the continuation of this line.)
