He married Bata Quackenbosch in Schenectady Dutch Reformed Church, Schenectady Co., NY, February 8, 1729/30. (Bata Quackenbosch #1946.) Bata was born 1707. She was the daughter of Johannes Quackenbosch and Anna Clute. Bata died before 1751.

Johannes Heemstraat and Bata Quackenbosch had the following child:
