He married twice. He married Lyndia Dianne Best in Napa, CA, 10/5/96. (Lyndia Dianne Best is #2003.) Lyndia was born in Ontario, Canada. He married Leah Ann Hallisey in Tujunga, California, September 2, 1972. (Leah Ann Hallisey is #2.) Leah was born in Glendale, California. She is the daughter of William Bernard Hallisey and Leah Rebecca Smith. Jim continues as a social worker with the job of Quality Improvement Coordinator at Napa County Mental Health where he has been for 16 of his professional years. He has a new found interest in genealogy.

James David Rubins and Leah Ann Hallisey had the following children:

92 i. Kathleen Hallisey⁸ Rubins #3 was born in Farmington, CT. Kate is attending University of California: San Diego as a freshman this year and is interested in microbiology.

93 ii. Elizabeth Hallisey Rubins #4 was born in Santa Rosa, Sonoma Co., CA. Beth is entering her first year at Vintage High School in Napa and is VERY excited about all the fun she can have in high school.

94 iii. Daniel Hallisey Rubins #5 was born in Santa Rosa, Sonoma Co., CA. Daniel is in the seventh grade at the River School, which is an alternative middle school in Napa. He is interested in adding to his music CD collection as soon as he can.
