5. Ephraim3 Smith (Alexander2, Jonas1) #66 was born in Yorkshire, England October 30, 1798. Ephraim died April 9, 1880 in New Brighton, PA, at 81 years of age.

He married Ann Lee in Dewsbury Church, Yorkshire, England, April 29, 1824. (Ann Lee #67.) Ann was born in Yorkshire, England April 11, 1807. She was the daughter of Abraham Lee and Mary Smith. Ann died November 27, 1866 in New Brighton, PA, at 59 years of age.

Ephraim Smith and Ann Lee had the following children:

child 7 i. Hannah4 Smith #70 was born in Yorkshire, England September 27, 1825. Hannah died January 5, 1899 in Spruce Vale, PA, at 73 years of age. She married William Huddleston in Fallston, PA, July 11, 1850. (William Huddleston #85.) William was born in Sesquehanna County, PA January 27, 1825. He was the son of Robert Huddleston and Ann Small. William died April 1908 in Viola, IL. (See William Huddleston for the continuation of this line.)

child 8 ii. Elizabeth Smith #71 was born in Yorkshire, England November 6, 1827. Elizabeth died March 5, 1882 in South Harbor Creek, PA, at 54 years of age. She married Edward Cass in Fallston, PA, September 6, 1849. (Edward Cass #86.) Edward was born in Rodley, England November 20, 1825. Edward died February 25, 1904 in South Harbor Creek, PA, at 78 years of age. (See Edward Cass for the continuation of this line.)

child + 9 iii. Alexander Fountain Smith was born July 15, 1839.

child + 10 iv. Ephraim Ellsworth Smith, Jr. was born March 28, 1843.

child 11 v. Mary Ann Smith #73 was born in Fallston, PA March 15, 1846. Mary died December 13, 1920 in New Brighton, PA, at 74 years of age. She married Robert Hay November 20, 1873. (Robert Hay #88.) Robert was born in Edinburg, Scotland July 26, 1840. He was the son of James Hay and Jean Whyte. Robert died June 30, 1908 in New Brighton, PA, at 67 years of age.
