About Lulu Press

Lulu Press was started in 1996 by Leslie Stewart. The name "Lulu" is taken from a children's book by Ms. Stewart entitled THE VERY FINE MOUSE, the heroine of which is a mouse named Lulu, who cleverly evades being eaten by Roland, the local cat.

Lulu Press publishes an online Poetry Page for which a prize is offered.

Lulu Press published two books and a selection of cards and T-shirts in 1997. In 1998, the press plans to publish two more books (one by a sole author, one a collection of poems and short stories by Napa Valley writers), and expand its line of cards and T-shirts.
