Poetry Submission Guidelines

1. Poets must reside or work in Napa County. Poems submitted from other servers than Napanet or Interx will not be accepted without a local telephone number for verification.
2. Poets may be of any age. A young writer wishing to be considered for the Open Door Books Poetry Prize must state his/her age and school.
3. You may submit poems of up to 40 lines in length.
4. Poems may deal with any subject and may be in any style.
5. You may submit 4 poems per month.
6. Previously published poems will be considered (include credits).
7. Lulu Press will select one poem to publish each week. Each published poem will be available to readers on our page for one week.
8. Send only your best work.
9. Check your spelling and punctuation. Every effort will be made to publish your poem as it is submitted. However, we cannot be responsible for errors. If your poem is published with errors, please advise us immediately by email.
10. If you would like personal responses to your poems, please advise us that we may publish your email address along with your poem.
11. Poems may also be mailed to P.O. Box 2344, Napa, 94558. Include your telephone number for residence verification. Do not send originals as no poems will be returned.
12. Copyrights to poems that appear on these pages belong to the authors. By submitting to the Lulu Press Poetry Page, the author grants permission to Lulu Press to publish the poem on the page.
