Leslie Stewart was born in 1947 and was raised in Berkeley, California. She attended San Francisco State College, Napa Valley College, and Sonoma State College. She owned a building design firm in Napa, Stewart Design and Drafting, for sixteen years. She closed that business in order to have more time for writing and art.
Ms. Stewart is the author of Fifty-Fifty, Selected Poems at Half-Hundred.
She has been published in ArtScan, Double-Entendre, Radiance and The Laureate Letter. You may read
three of the poems from the book. She has been featured
reader at poetry events in Napa and Sonoma.

Ms. Stewart is a member of the National League of American Pen Women and has shown art work in shows sponsored by the league. The artwork shown here is reduced from the originals and appears in Fifty-Fifty.
In 1996, Ms. Stewart started a small publishing business, Lulu Press. One of the publications of the press is the on-line publication Lulu Press Poetry Page, for which the press offers an annual prize.
