Ted Lemon has been producing outstanding wines for Howell Mountain Vineyards since 1994. In addition to being an excellent winemaker, he has a deep and thorough understanding of viticulture and how vineyard techniques impact the finished wines.

Ted Lemon, Winemaker for Howell Mountain Vineyards

Ted was the first American to be winemaker and vineyard manager for a Burgundian wine estate - Domaine Guy Roulot. After receiving an enology degree from the Université de Dijon in 1981, he worked at many prestigious estates in Burgundy - Domaine Georges Roumier, Domaine de Villaine and Domaine Dujac as well as others. Ted returned to the United States and became the founding winemaker for Chateau Woltner before branching out into consulting and creating his own wine, Littorai.

In addition to producing Howell Mountain Vineyards and Littorai, he currently consults for Reverie Vineyards and Winery, Diamond Mountain, Clos Pegase and Archery Summit (in Oregon) as well as others.
