Spider-Tracer

In his early crime-fighting days, Peter realized that it would be wonderful
if he could find a way to allow
him to keep track of and find certain people or things. With this in mind,
he created the Spider-Tracers.
Small devices that resemble a tiny red arachnid, the Spider-Tracers make
use of the same frequency that his
Spider-Sense runs on. This way, Spider-Man doesn't need a detection device
or radar to locate his tracers.
Concentration is not required to receive the signal. Having the tracers
tuned to his spider-sense is a great
advantage, but it can also be a liability. More than once, villans have
used the spider-tracers to trick or
injure Spider-Man by 'overloading' the signal the tracer sends out.
The Spider-Tracer launcher is located on Spider-Man's fore-arm (see above
image), and a quick flick of the
wrist will trigger the spring-loaded launcher. He can also throw them, or
place them in secret places. The
tracers, even though they look like bugs, are not listening devices. They
are used for locating and tracking
only.
