Maintenance Contracts

Napa Computer, Inc. offers a preventative maintenance program designed to minimize computer down time thereby maximizing the productivity of your human resources.  With over a decade of experience in computer based solutions our team has developed a battery of tests and procedures to make sure that your computer stays in peak running condition.

We offer our standard semi-annual program that is performed at your site, and at your convenience.  We can also tailor a program to fit your company's specific requirements.  Simply call our office for details.

Our standard preventative maintenance program consists of:

• Virus scanning and inoculation(1)
• Verifying hard disk media integrity
• Disassembly / reassembly of computer to:

1. Check for foreign, loose, or broken objects that could cause an electrical short.
2. Remove accumulated dust / debris
3. Re-seat and burnish connections on cables, expansion cards and memory modules.
4. Clean read / write heads on floppy drive(s)
5. Clean read / write on rollers on tape backup unit(2) (where applicable)

Napa Computer, Inc. will provide you with a summation of our work and any recommendations we might have upon completion of our work.   We also offer maintenance programs for dot matrix and laser printers as well.   Additional repairs or maintenance will be charged at our standard rates.

(1)Computer viruses can corrupt or delete your data.  Any computer that exchanges data with any other computer via floppy disk, network connection or modem is susceptible to contracting a virus.  Also, new viruses are written every day so virus software needs to be updated approx. every two months to keep it current.  (2)If your computer does not have a tape unit we would like to discuss backup methods available and setup a routine to protect your data.
