Welcome to the home page of the 330 PC Poker Club. A bit about us...In the early 80's a group of guys in Napa got together for some semi-regular poker games. We began calling ourselves the 330 PC Poker Club, named after the California penal code section for gambling. In the late 80's the California legislature amended the code section by removing the term, Stud Horse Poker. It is widely believed that the change was due to pressure from the licensed card clubs in the state, who were lawfully able to deal draw poker. It seems they wanted to deal Stud and Hold'em also. However, this was just a ruse. We firmly believe that the law makers were concerned about our 25¢ home game. In any case we are no longer outlaws, confined to the smoky back room (well, none of us smoke...but you get the idea). We, the members of the 330 PC Poker Club, are proud to have our place on the web with the decent citizens of the internet. (Is that an oxymoron?) Our membership rules are quite strict: You must appear before the members at a regular 330 PC meeting. The membership committee, consisting of whoever is there, convenes. The discussion usually goes like this, " Yeah you're in --- shut up and deal. Did you bring any cookies?" |
