Hello! My name is "Chef" David Mitchel and welcome to Wine & Dine Tours ^{and Events} web site. It is a pleasure to introduce you to my company and tell you a little bit about myself.

My professional career and family background has always revolved around food and wine. My family owned a busy restaurant in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and my father knew more about wine then just anybody on the planet. His helpful knowledge greatly influenced my intense interest in fine wines. I moved to San Francisco, California in 1973 and had the good fortune to work in some of the city’s finest restaurants. In 1982 I moved to the beautiful Napa Valley and continued my Epicurean career. In 1990 I decided to hang up my toque and pursue a business combining my enthusiasm for food, wine and my life long passion for travel. I launched Wine & Dine Tours in 1990.

I created Wine & Dine Tours ^{and Events} to provide my clients with unique Wine Country adventures to unforgettable off-the-beaten-path destinations they would not be able to find on their own. I spent years researching and discovering quaint tucked away hideaways in California’s Napa Valley, Tuscany Italy, and the Barossa and Hunter Valley’s of Australia. Our itineraries are carefully planned and the company takes pride in the many personal contacts and Wine Country friends we have made over the years.

Our scheduled vacations to the Napa Valley, Tuscany and Australia are carefully planned, well organized and allow for plenty of free leisure time so you can relax and enjoy your vacation. We have thoroughly researched all accommodations at each specific Wine Country region and you can be assured you will stay at only the finest luxury hotels. In addition, our on site tour directors, local guides and overseas affiliates are carefully chosen affording you only the highest quality of professional services.
