KIRKWOOD SKI RESORT
The little resort with a mighty
natural setting. Offers a modest spread for the beginner and intermediate, but then you look up and see
the rest of the mountain. This beautiful Alpine valley is known to get some of the best snowfall
depths in North America. Walls of snow above the parking lots over 20 feet high are not uncommon.
Lifts are relatively slow, but the crowds are always small, and the conditions speak for themselves.
Kirkwood is the back-to-nature resort, with a minimum of development and a great local feel. Highlights
include "The Wall" and "Cornice" chairs, as well as "Thunder Saddle" chutes, and deep powder on the
"Rabbit Runs".
